seeing as that thing had a 1/2 chance of fireing up, and a 1/50 chance of actually working right, and a 1/1000000 chance of not needing repairs every other week.

Well it managed to run flat out for 24-hr races and covered the 1,000 mile Mille Miglia at around 95 mph so I’d say it does just fine. The 250 Colombo V12's are actually very robust engines. Hence why you still see them racing some 65 years later.

Those were actually famously reliable. Nothing Ferrari has done post-Fiat has done them justice in that regard.
